Dr. Felipe Fregni, Director of the Laboratory of Neuromodulation, was recently published in the Journal of the American Medical Association for a study looking at the use of a non-invasive brain stimulation technique, transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), combined with an antidepressant therapy (Sertraline) in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD). This study showed that the combination of tDCS and sertraline increases the efficacy of each treatment in this population of patients with major depressive disorder.
