Comprehensive Rehabilitation Program
The Comprehensive Rehabilitation Program provides interdisciplinary care to patients with orthopedic injuries and/or surgeries, patients with amputations and/or vascular issues and patients with burn injuries. Often patients on the unit have suffered multiple traumatic injuries at the same time, requiring a precise and coordinated approach to care. Located at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, the Comprehensive Rehab Program uses an interdisciplinary team approach. The interdisciplinary team consists of Physiatrists, Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Case Managers and Social Workers. The team coordinates a treatment plan with patients and families and works to maximize functional recovery.
