Race for Rehab - Boston Marathon®
Running for a Purpose: Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is proud to partner with John Hancock as part of their non-profit marathon program. Over the past two years, 47 members of the Race for Rehab Team raised over $300,000 to support Spaulding's Annual Fund, dedicated to providing support to the hospital's most pressing needs including: patient care, teaching, research and capital improvements. For the past 8 years, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital has successfully recruited more than 100 individuals to run the Boston Marathon in support of the hospital, and has raised almost a million dollars.
We are no longer accepting applications for our 2014 team. If you have applied, individuals will be selected in the coming weeks.
Each team member is asked to raise a minimum of $5,000. All proceeds raised by the Race for Rehab team will directly support Spaulding’s Campaign for Your New Hospital.
Already have a number to run in 2014? Consider joining our team. Individuals with their own numbers are asked to raise a minimum of $1,000 and are eligible for the same team benefits. Click here to fill out an application.

This year on Marathon Monday, a perfect morning turned into a tragic day. We are grateful to report that all of our Race for Rehab team members were safe. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, the witnesses, and to all who have been affected by this senseless tragedy.
While this has been an unspeakably difficult and heartbreaking for all of Boston, and our friends from across the globe, we at Spaulding would like to express our immense pride in our Race for Rehab team and all that they accomplished. The challenging and often times grueling journey to the starting line of a marathon is one that most will never take. We are grateful to all of our team members for their grit, determination and, of course, their dedication to Spaulding.
