At the Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center West Roxbury, we are focused on delivering optimal patient care and outcomes based on the fundamental principle of one person caring for another.
Every care plan is individually tailored in order to fully meet the needs of each patient. Regardless of race, religion or economic status, patients and their families are offered the very best care, as well as social activities, personal services and ongoing professional support in an atmosphere that emphasizes dignity, self-reliance and a warm sense of community.
We provide interim nursing care from hospitalization to home. Some of the many capabilities offered by our nursing staff include complex wound care, intravenous antibiotic or fluid therapy, ostomy care and teaching, tube-feeding care and teaching, post-cardiac surgery care, aggressive pain management, palliative and hospice care, therapy for chronic respiratory conditions, tracheotomy care and teaching, diabetic care and teaching, and much more.
Frequently, patients referred to us are medically stable and no longer need to stay in an acute-care hospital, but are not yet able to care for themselves at home. Our goal is to provide physical, occupational and speech therapy (if needed) in order to facilitate each patient’s independence as quickly as possible.
