Spaulding Outpatient Center Cambridge

The Spaulding Outpatient Center Cambridge provides comprehensive rehabilitation services including Physiatry, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy Programs and Services. We are home to the Spaulding Center for Lifelong Health and Fitness and are the site of ongoing research activities funded by the National Institute of Health.  

Spaulding Outpatient Center Cambridge provides comprehensive medical and rehabilitation services. Our knowledgeable and talented professionals specialize in the diagnostics and treatment of musculoskeletal, orthopedic, hand, sports and work related injuries. We have the capability to perform fluoroscopic guided spine and joint injections as well as comprehensive neurological and amputee rehabilitation. Our Healthy Performing Artists Program specializes in the treatment and prevention of injuries in musicians and performing artists.  To maximize our therapeutic outcomes, our therapists utilize the unique “Easy Street” environment that simulates community living situations, and provides a safe setting to practice everyday living skills in conjunction with formal therapy.

Located on the campus at Spaulding Hospital for Continuing Medical Care Cambridge, the center has spacious and full exercise and treatment facilities with clinical emphasis on prevention, education, and management of injuries. The Center is also home to the Spaulding National Running Center which is comprised of the Running Injury Clinic, where runners are evaluated and treated, and the Running Research Laboratory, where running biomechanical studies are conducted.

 

Ranking and Distinction

The Spaulding Outpatient Center Cambridge is home to the Healthy Performing Artist Program, which promotes optimal performance by treating and preventing music related injuries. It enhances the artist’s knowledge of problems affecting their musical performance and is facilitated by a comprehensive assessment and treatment of musicians with either performance related injuries or those with injuries and conditions affecting their musical performance.
