Spaulding Hospital for Continuing Medical Care North Shore
Spaulding Hospital for Continuing Medical Care North Shore in Salem is a 160-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) facility which also offers a 40-bed skilled nursing facility.
At Spaulding Hospital North Shore, we do much more than help you recover from injury or illness. We help you rebuild the strength it takes to live life to the fullest. Every one of our nurses, therapists and physicians is committed to this goal, 100%.
Our hospital offers the region’s most comprehensive rehabilitation and medical management services, providing two levels of inpatient continuing medical care: long-term acute care for patients who require complex medical and rehabilitative care, and a transitional care unit for patients who require short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care.
Patients at Spaulding North Shore are discharged at a higher functional level than the national average and continue to make progress in functional areas after they leave the hospital. Spaulding North Shore repeatedly receives high patient satisfaction ratings in national surveys.
Our greatest strength, however, is our tireless dedication to helping our patients move forward. We’re proud of the fact that our clinical outcomes, as measured by national industry standards, exceed regional and national averages. We’re even prouder of the personal successes, large and small, that our patients achieve every day.
Our inpatient facility is adjacent to NSMC (North Shore Medical Center) Salem Hospital, giving our staff access to a full range of specialists and diagnostic tests.
