Christopher Diehl
Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation
Mr. Diehl is the Director of the Outpatient Rehab Operations for the North and Boston Regions for the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. He has worked for Partners HealthCare System for 18 years, serving Massachusetts General Hospital for 4 years and Spaulding for 14 years.

Mr. Diehl has held both clinical and administrative positions ranging from a staff therapist to the Director of Inpatient Physical Therapy Department.  He has worked with the management team to implement Spaulding’s change in service delivery model to become compliant with IRF requirements.

Mr. Diehl's clinical focus has been with orthopedics and spinal cord injury patients. He has worked on the intra-network management of orthopedic patients within the Partners HealthCare System to improve quality of care. 

Mr. Diehl received his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Northeastern University.  He also received his master’s degree in health management from Northeastern University. He is on the board of the Greater Boston Chapter of the National Spinal Cord Association. 

Sean Hannigan
Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation
Mr. Hannigan is the Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation at Spaulding Hospital for Continuing Medical Care North Shore and the North Shore Medical Center Salem. He has held various roles as at Spaulding North Shore throughout his career.

Starting as a staff physical therapist, he rotated to all the SNS units and throughout Salem Hospital. Mr. Hannigan moved to a supervisor role in the therapy department before finally taking the role as Director. 

Mr. Hannigan received both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Northeastern University.  His clinical focus has been with prosthetics and orthotics and cardiopulmonary patients.
