Spaulding and the Boston Bruins Partner for Pediatric Care

Boston, MA - Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is proud to announce the dedication of the Boston Bruins Pediatric Therapeutic Gymnasium at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. On Wednesday April 8th, Bruins legend Lyndon Byers, current Bruin Marco Sturm and Bruins Foundation president Bob Sweeney were on hand with Bruins mascot Blades to dedicate the gym and visit with patients and staff at the Spaulding Pediatric unit.

'The partnership with a New England institution like the Boston Bruins, that has for decades supported worthy causes, only continues to validate the remarkable care, research and recoveries that happen at Spaulding,' said David E. Storto, President, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.

The Boston Bruins have visited Spaulding's Pediatrics Unit the past 3 years as part of the annual Toy Delivery Day to area hospitals with numerous players such as Tim Thomas, Aaron Ward, and Andrew Ference participating.

'Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital's mission of care, research and advocacy is exactly the type of work the Bruins Foundation was created to support. We look forward to having our players continue to visit these amazing patients and dedicated care givers in the coming years,' Bob Sweeney, Director of Development, Bruins Foundation.
