Spaulding Rehabilitation Network Moves Towards Further Integration
September 30, 2010
(Boston, MA) Healthcare providers nationwide are looking at options to integrate clinical best practices and systems to ensure smooth transitions for patients and efficiency in delivery of care. One Boston area provider recognizing the potential opportunity for better care delivery and value for patients has committed to ensuring the level of integration needed to achieve those goals, the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network.

Beginning October 1st, the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network (SRN) will apply the Spaulding name to all of its inpatient and outpatient facilities throughout Eastern Massachusetts. These name changes continue an alignment of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network that began with its formation in the fall of 2008. By integrating the management team over the past two years and consistently pursuing and implementing clinical best practices, SRN is uniquely position to provide an unparalleled continuum of care.

"As healthcare providers we must continue to look for new and better ways to deliver high quality care efficiently. By uniting under the Spaulding brand, we are making a strong statement that we have created a unique continuum of care that delivers value and excellence in care for our patients, families and referral sources," said David E. Storto, President, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network.

By aligning more closely with a brand as respected as Spaulding, widely recognized as one of top rehabilitation providers nationally, it will help to differentiate SRN in an increasingly competitive market, and strengthen its ability to respond to changes in regulation, reimbursement and healthcare reform. The Spaulding Rehabilitation Network combines the research and teaching of Harvard Medical School, with all levels of rehabilitative care from intensive inpatient to long term acute care, skilled nursing care, and outpatient therapy at twenty three centers from Cape Ann to Cape Cod.
