General Information - Spaulding Hospital Cambridge
Visiting hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors may park in the Spaulding Hospital Cambridge free parking lots as space permits.

Please select one member of your family to be the primary contact with your physician. For routine questions, your family representative can call your physician's voice mail, and the physician will return the call as soon as possible. Please call the operator and ask for assistance if your questions cannot wait.

If you have any concerns, please speak first with your physician, nurse or case manager. If you need further assistance, the program director is available to speak with you. You may also ask to speak directly with an administrative representative at Ext. 3576 or Ext. 3404.

What to Wear
If you are admitted to Spaulding Hospital Cambridge for intensive medical care, you will receive appropriate clothing to wear during treatment. If you are going to participate in an active rehabilitation program, you will need to bring comfortable clothing from home such as sweat suits, jeans, underwear, socks, and shoes that provide good support.
Services During Your Stay
Telephone service can be connected within 1 to 2 hours of your arrival. Please inform your nurse or the unit secretary if you would like telephone service. Phone service includes 617 and parts of the 781 area codes. All other area codes require using a calling card or calling collect.

Weekly rates are based on full weeks and are non-refundable. For your convenience, a payment envelope will be provided. Please call Ext. 3457 if you have any questions or problems.

To make a phone call, dial 9 + 1 and then the area code and phone number.

Television Service can be activated immediately. Press the "on" button on your television control.

Newspaper vending machines are located at the front entrance.

Cafeteria Hours are: 6:30 am to 6:30 pm

Vending machines located beside the cafeteria are open 24 hours per day.

Hairdressing services are available. The forms are available from the unit secretary. The day of the week hairdressing services are offered may vary.

An ATM machine is available in the main lobby.

Valuables
We encourage you to leave your valuables at home. The Cashier's Office, located on the First Floor, offers the following for patients' convenience:
Safe keeping accounts: These are deposit accounts that accrue interest. Ask the cashier for details.
Check cashing: Transactions are limited to $25 per week.
Valuable safekeeping: Patients may store valuables in the hospital safe free of charge.
