Founded on September 16, 1970, as the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital has grown into one of the top rehabilitation facilities in the world as a leader in teaching, research, and care in the field of rehabilitative medicine.
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School provides physician services to the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. The department is dedicated to the advancement of rehabilitation, both in the clinical setting and in research laboratories.
