Lymphedema Management
Throughout the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, our outpatient centers help you manage lymphedema.
Our patients are treated with complex decongestive therapy methods to achieve reduction in limb volume, independence in self-management, and appropriate bandaging and garment prescription. Education in the areas of skin hygiene, exercise, activity modification, and signs of infection are also provided
Referrals are made to wound specialists as needed. Therapists assist you in finding resources, such as counseling and support groups that are available throughout the Network. Our highly experienced clinicians have undergone extensive training in this complex disorder and are deeply committed to providing you the best possible outcomes.

Construction of a new, state-of-the-art Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is now underway in Charlestown MA. Slated to open in early 2013, it will provide enhanced patient care and expanded treatment and research space.
