Julie Silver, MD, is an award-winning author of numerous books and articles for medical as well as lay journals on recovery from illness.

Dr. Silver also founded the International Rehabilitation Center for Polio at Spaulding, which provides treatment and education on polio, and promotes research to improve the lives of polio survivors; and RESTORE, which is a program that focuses on physical healing after cancer treatment (oncology rehabiliation).
