Greg Jackson, MRC, President and Chief Operating Officer
Greg Jackson, MRC is Spaulding Rehabilitation’s President and Chief Operating Officer. In this Spaulding-wide leadership role, he oversees operations and strategic planning for the Inpatient Rehabilitation departments at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital for Continuing Medical Care Cambridge, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Nursing and Therapy Center Brighton.
Greg has over 30 years of experience in healthcare with over 20 of those years in increasingly complex leadership roles. Greg comes to Spaulding with a wealth of experience in acute care, orthopedic, neuroscience and rehabilitation medicine.
Throughout his career, Greg has built a strong, results-oriented track record of improving patient outcomes and increasing the efficiency of care delivery. He is well versed in regulatory issues, acute care continuum of care, and length of stay challenges, and has experience growing new programs in academic medical environments. Greg began his career as a medical lab technician, before earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology and his master’s of rehabilitation counseling from Arkansas State University.

Jeffrey Schneider, MD, Interim Chair, Dept. of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dr. Jeffrey Schneider is interim Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for Mass General Brigham, and associate professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. His appointment is effective August 1, 2025. He serves as project director of the Boston Harvard Burn Injury Model System, a multi-institutional center grant, and Co-Director of the Rehabilitation Outcomes Center at Spaulding. With over 200 publications, Dr. Schneider’s research centers on improving long-term functional outcomes for individuals with complex conditions, including those recovering from burns and traumatic injuries. He is widely recognized for his leadership in clinical care, advancing data-driven care models, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and mentoring the next generation of clinician-scientists.

Cara Brickley, PT, DPT, Vice President of Operations, Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
Cara Brickley, PT, DPT, is the Vice President of Operations and Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation Services for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Boston. Dr. Brickley oversees the service delivery of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Therapeutic Recreation, Child Life, and Music Therapy to the adult and pediatric inpatient populations. She is also the co-chair of the Patient Safety Committee.
Dr. Brickley has worked in a variety of roles at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Boston including staff Physical Therapist, Practice Leader, and Program Director. She received her Masters and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Simmons University.

Judi Cullinane, PhD, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, LSSBH, CCRN-K, Chief Nursing Officer
Dr. Judi Cullinane serves as the Chief Nursing Officer for Spaulding Rehabilitation, a world leader in advanced rehabilitation treatment and research that serves the greater Boston region and beyond. Spaulding Rehabilitation consists of three hospitals, a skilled nursing facility and twenty-six outpatient centers across eastern Massachusetts. She has oversight of all nursing and patient care supports, driving excellence in care that is patient-family centered and holistic through advocacy, clinical practice, research, and academics.

John Danko, DO, Associate Chief Medical Officer
John Danko, DO serves at the Associate Chief Medical Officer at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod. He is a clinical instructor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical school and an inpatient Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation specialist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Boston. Dr. Danko is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training at NYU-Langone Medical Center, Rusk Rehabilitation and is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

Teresa Hayes, MSW, LICSW, Director of Admissions
Teresa Hayes, MSW, LICSW earned her Master's in social work from Boston College. For the last twenty-five years Teresa has managed business development, admissions, case management, and marketing referral development across inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation facilities in the Greater Boston market and managed a team of 24 liaisons. Teresa’s areas of expertise include census development, inpatient and outpatient program development, marketing, and public relations, as well as healthcare data analysis and staff development. She has also consulted for other post-acute providers in these areas in addition to CMS regulation compliance, CMS audits and appeals.
Teresa has presented at national and state conferences, including AMRPA and ARN on topics related to program development and volume improvement strategies, education on post-acute levels of care, market analysis as well as programing and rehab technology return on investment.
Teresa is an active member of the Board of Directors for Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts.

Martha Rafferty, DNP, MSN, RN, LSSGB, Associate Chief Nursing Officer
Martha Rafferty, DNP, MSN, RN, LSSGB is the Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Boston and Cape Cod. In this role, Martha oversees inpatient nursing practice at the acute rehabilitation hospitals, collaborating closely with leaders across the Spaulding network to cultivate a culture of excellence and innovation. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Rivier University, reflecting her commitment to advanced clinical expertise and evidence-based care.
Throughout her career, Martha has gained extensive leadership experience across acute care settings and has skillfully bridged the continuum into inpatient rehabilitation, consistently supporting patients and staff through care transitions. Driven by a passion for continuous quality improvement, she is recognized for initiating leader standard work and implementing unit-based quality improvement methods, utilizing LEAN principles to enhance processes, elevate team performance, and foster a culture of safety and accountability throughout the organization.

Shirley Shih, MD, Sr. Medical Director of Inpatient Operations
Dr. Shih is a board-certified physician and instructor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the Department of PM&R at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital/Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her BA in Neuroscience from Pomona College, and her MD and MS degrees from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation followed by a fellowship in Brain Injury Medicine at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Shih is currently the Sr. Medical Director of Inpatient Operations, the Medical Director for Inpatient Brain Injury and the Fellowship Director for the Brain Injury Medicine Fellowship at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Boston. Dr. Shih’s clinical interests include neurorehabilitation and concussion management.
